Critters was my creation for the first Zine Game Jam with Flyover Indies, back in 2020. It was built on a concept I had from a while before--basically, to make an 'Analog Pokemon Go', where instead of an app telling you where creatures were, you would look for certain features, like "A Hill" or "A Fork in the Road".
This is just a simple text-only version, but it has 25 different critters, plus a "Variations" system, that allows you to find rare versions of each one. Someday I should really re-visit this one. I think it's a cute idea & could be a lot of fun. I'd like to add some illustrations & maybe some additional mechanics beyond simply collecting the critters.
